Drawing yourself in, even on a snow day!

 Happy Snow Day!

Even though it was a snowy Monday in Glen Ellyn, there was work that needed to be done! I had a card order that I needed to package up and deliver, plus a couple errands to run. It looks like we got about 6" and rumor has it rain is on it's way Thursday. It's time to get out our rafts because it's going to be like a river out there! I always find downtown Glen Ellyn to look so peaceful in the snow, and I thought I'd show you my view from my desk today. So pretty!

More snow!

More snow!

As pretty as the snow looks... where are you Spring?

I was so thrilled with the mix of colors and patterns that made up this order. I'm excited to go back later this week and take a picture of the rack to show the display to everyone. It's always fun to see how the store display your products. Polka dots seem to be the thing right now!

How true is the saying on this card? <3 that!

Loving the multi color card options in this order.

Because of the snow, many of the yogis that typically practice together on a Monday night with me weren't at class. Instead it was a handful of newbies and tired yogis. That truly is the best time to check in with your own practice. Tonight I was discussing the doshas with some of my colleagues and it amazed me to hear that some people didn't realize how easy it is to check back in with yourself. Basically I am a pitta and I know that when I am out of balance, there a just a couple things that I can do that will immediately set me back on the right track. It's all about drawing yourself back in if your a pitta and not letting that white noise interfere with your balance. By simply doing a forward fold you are almost forced to draw yourself in because physically you are drawn in already and your gaze is then drawn in because of the pose. It's just amazing to me how something so little can change your outlook so fast.

On that note, it's time for me to draw myself inward and read some more of that book for this workshop weekend. I am looking forward to some sun and yogi time!

Namaste yogis. Light & warmth on this snowy Monday!
