Hi Yogis!

What a weekend that was. I still cannot get over what a great time we all had, crazy long practicing and all. I am not sure how we would have lasted without our alkaline water. On Friday night we started in tadasana and two hours later we were literally dripping in sweat, laying mat to mat, and getting ready for the kirtan! I am not sure what was more fun, the ridiculously challenging practice or the fun chanting practice we did for the next hour and a half. We barely made it to Whole Foods to grab food to take back to the hotel as it was nearing 10PM.

Saturday started off with two hours of intense practice followed by two more hours of yin. Who knew what we had been practicing for so long would be so different? Sunday was another mix of hardcore with a yin finish for two hours followed by two hours of discussion. The four of us loved every minute of it, even the most challenging parts. I cannot wait to experience another Steve Ross workshop!

We managed to get a picture with Steve and Tymi (the studio owner of Guruv) before class on Sunday. So fun!

You can see how close we were sitting and we are almost all on our own mats. Yes, that's literally how close our mats were. As distracting as that seems, it really wasn't and we all learned to embrace it.

The best part of all of this is the amazing feeling that we all still have after coming home to the bitter cold. There's something to be said for clearing your mind and drawing yourself inward. We did just that.

We are halfway through the week, it's almost the weekend! YAY!

Love & light,

Maria
