Did Someone Say, All Natural Bug Spray?

Good evening, yogis!

The two sparkle spray makers!

The two sparkle spray makers!

What a wonderful day today, seriously I still cannot believe how gorgeous it was. This is the weather that we wait for all year round! I have to admit though, the worst part about the summer months is the dreadful mosquitos. With the rain that we have had as of late, it seems like it's only a hotbed of multiplication activity for those blood-sucking bugs.

The good news is this summer I have been able to cover the family in my mix of all natural bug spray and we are actually bite free as of this moment. We make a point to go for a walk after dinner at night which usually translates to bug bites. I've never been a fan of the traditional bug spray as it's filled with toxins and the infamous deet. Has anyone ever noticed how it says, in super teeny tiny print might I add, to not spray on skin? Wow. Great product.

Back to my fabulous solution! So I just mixed up some essential oils from my stockpile of them and voila it smells fabulous, isn't toxic, and keeps the bugs away. Since I decided to share it with friends and family, I knew it needed a name. Naturally Isabella had to pick out bottles that were pink and silver so I knew she would want to name the concoction as well. She named it "sparkle spray" and I thought that was so cute that I went with it and made labels to match.

Oh and here's a picture from tonight; we did the wine tasting and I shared the story of the oils and passed out bug spray to everyone that came. So fun! I am also in love with the fun labels on these wine bottles. I might have picked up a few because I thought they would be really fun hostess gifts.
